Joint Venture Partnership

Avenue Mori Medical Equipment & Rotech Healthcare

For the past twenty (20) years, Rotech has been contracted to provide Home Oxygen and Durable/Home Medical Equipment (DME/HME) services to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Rotech's longstanding relationship with the VA affords Rotech the opportunity to partner with Avenue Mori Medical Equipment, Inc. (AMME), a Joint Commission Accredited and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) company, under a Small Business Administration (SBA) approved, Mentor Protégé/Joint Venture partnership, to service VA contracts.

AMME was founded by Mr. Myo Tun and Mr. Gordon Mori. Myo attended the University of California at Riverside, where he received his BA in Business Economics and Political Science. After graduating from college, Myo was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and served on Active Duty for 12 years.  He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. After leaving the Marine Corps, he worked in the medical equipment and pharmaceutical industry and was a Director level employee holding numerous high-level leadership/management positions.  The leadership, operational, and logistical skills he learned in the Marine Corps and the healthcare industry have been instrumental in allowing him to start his own companies in the healthcare industry (Avenue Medical Equipment, Avenue Home Care and AMME).  Gordon attended Brigham Young University, where he received his BA in Economics and Japanese. He went on to further earn an MBA from Columbia University. His professional career started on Wall Street, but his career led him to the financial capitals of the world (Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and London).  After a very successful career in the financial industry and living internationally for over 20 years, Gordon decided to return home to the United States.  After returning home and settling in Carlsbad, California, Gordon started Mori Medical Equipment (MME) with his son, Andrew Mori.  MME has been in business for over six years.  MME has been successful due to Gordon's experience in dealing with and solving complex issues.

With both Gordon and Myo having established a footprint in the healthcare industry with their own companies, it became clear to both that they and their companies were a perfect fit to work together on a larger scale and to service a higher calling. The higher calling for Gordon and Myo was to provide the best services and best equipment to those who have served our country honorably.  This lead to the formation of Avenue Mori Medical Equipment, Inc. (AMME).  Both Gordon and Myo are involved in every aspect of the daily operations of AMME and the AMME/Rotech Joint Venture.  Their passion is to honorably care for those who honorably served our country.

AMME and Rotech, through the Joint Venture, are committed to servicing our nation's veterans with quality care services and quality equipment to enrich their quality of life.  AMME and Rotech established the following companies to provide Home Oxygen and Durable/Home Medical Equipment services to our veterans:
